Join us as we welcome Laura Myers, APRN-CNM to the Women’s Health Center at Neosho Memorial in Chanute.

Laura earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Certified Nurse-Midwife from Frontier Nursing University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University South Bend, and an Associate Degree from Hesston College.

With 12 years of experience as an obstetrical nurse and nurse preceptor at the Birth Care Suites of Wesley Medical Center, Laura has worked as a maternal child staff nurse at Newton Medical Center and as a medical/surgical nurse at Wesley.

Hospital-based certified nurse midwives provide care in obstetrics and gynecology, including preconception care/counseling, pregnancy care, well-woman services, family planning, and more.

NMRMC’s nurse midwives attend births in the hospital setting only and support a woman’s choice of pain management including epidurals. They also serve as first assists to an OB/GYN physician during C-sections.
