Seventh Annual Mother’s Day Run/Walk

“Mommin’ Ain’t Easy” is the theme of the seventh annual Mother’s Day Run/Walk sponsored by NMRMC Women’s Health and the Jennifer Dietsch State Farm Agency. The event will be held on Saturday, May 2 with the race starting at 8:30 am. The 5K Run or Walk is free, is untimed, and offers -shirts for $5. Shirt order deadline is April 17 at the State Farm office or the hospital’s Communications Office. 
 
This event was originally established during the COVID-19 pandemic to promote exercise and foster a sense of community through a virtual run. Families, near and far, celebrated their moms by posting a photo of their event. Today, the Chanute Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk continues, giving participants the flexibility to complete their run or walk individually or with a group, and to continue sharing their experiences by posting photos online #chanutemothersdayrun in honor of moms everywhere.
