NMRMC Surgery Clinic is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Andrew Gaut, a board-certified otolaryngologist (ear, nose, and throat specialist), and Danielle Starr, AuD, CCC-A, an audiologist, to its growing team. The new services bring comprehensive ENT and audiology care, to southeast Kansas families.

Dr. Gaut has extensive clinical experience in diagnosing and treating disorders of the ears, nose, throat, head, and neck providing both medical and surgical care for both children and adults.
Earning his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Gaut completed an internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, a fellowship at the University of Iowa, and a residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He practiced at Warren Clinic Otolaryngology in Tulsa, OK from 2007 - 2026.
Danielle Starr, AuD, joins NMRMC as a certified audiologist. She evaluates hearing loss, and fits and programs hearing aids. Starr holds a doctorate in audiology and earned her post graduate degree at the University of South Dakota. She also has a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Prior to joining NMRMC, she practiced at the Warren Clinic Otolaryngology in Tulsa.

NMRMC Surgery Clinic
NMRMC Surgery Clinic is committed to providing exceptional care for area patients including a wide range of surgical services offered by general surgeons Matthew Leroy, MD, and Yi Ying Law, MD, CWSP, and otolaryngologist, Andrew Gaut, MD. In July 2026, the clinic moved one block west to NMRMC’s medical office building located at 1501 W. 7th Street in Chanute (the former NMRMC Family Medicine Clinic). The larger and enhanced space allowed for the addition of ENT and audiology in August 2026.
