Depression and anxiety are diseases that make other illnesses worse. Effective treatment is available locally at Neosho Memorial’s Senior Behavioral Care Clinic.

Regain vitality and a positive outlook in this structured outpatient program for adults age 65 and older. Under the care of a board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in medication management in older adults, patients participate in group, family, couple, and individual therapy guided by a personalized treatment plan. Medically Supervised and Individually Tailored

Neosho Memorial's Senior Behavioral Care program is medically supervised and tailored to meet the individual needs of older adults requiring behavioral health support.

Therapy sessions are available in individual, couple, family, and group format. A licensed master’s level clinician, under the direction of a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in geriatrics, facilitates the sessions. The psychiatrist meets with the client about their treatment and is available to prescribe and help manage medications. Additionally, client care is coordinated with families, caregivers, and physicians to provide the best treatment solutions.

Assessments and Referrals

The clinical staff is pleased to offer an initial confidential assessment at no charge. The assessment helps determine the need for services. Referrals to the program may be made by physicians, nurses, social workers, or others concerned about the welfare of a family member or friend. Self-referrals are also accepted.
